This introductory course forms the first part of training as a certified Colourstrings Music Kindergarten Teacher. It is suitable for musicians and early years practitioners who wish to teach music in an early years setting, or instrumentalists who wish to understand the foundations of pre-instrumental learning. Course content includes: The philosophy of Colourstrings – Kodály methodology – Child development – Lesson planning – Repertoire for babies and young children (0-4 years) – Dance and movement – Musicianship. The Phase 1 online course forms the second part of training to become a certified Colourstrings Music Kindergarten Teacher. It is suitable for people who have already attended the Introduction to Colourstrings Music Kindergarten Course. Course content includes: Detailed study of the Singing Rascals repertoire – Child Development – Lesson planning and delivery – Teaching for different stages of development – Repertoire for babies and young children – Dalcroze principles, dance and movement – Introducing notation – Musicianship training and assessment.
